Sami people have their own handicrafts called “Duodji”, such as the kuksa—a drinking cup carved from a birch burl. While traveling through Lapland and arctic Norway in 2005, I drank Koskenkorva from kuksas, drove a snowmobile and ate reindeer with lingonberry sauce.
